Lee Pay Wen
Pay Wen obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Master of Laws in International Commercial Law (LLM) both from the University of Northumbria, at Newcastle, England. She also holds a Diploma in International Arbitration from Brickfields Asia College.
Further, she attended an intensive Mandarin course at the Beijing Language and Culture University before working in the Legal Department of Crowe Horwath, Beijing.
Following her experience in China, Pay Wen worked as a full-time employee in the Company Secretarial department of Tune Insurance Malaysia Berhad (a subsidiary of Tune Protect Group Berhad) which gave her an in-depth understanding of the insurance business.
Pay Wen commenced her pupillage at Gan Partnership in 2016 and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 2017.
Pay Wen has assisted in several high value dispute resolution cases in the Malaysian Courts as well as in adjudication and arbitration. On the corporate side, she has reviewed commercial agreements for the firm’s corporate clients including a multinational corporation that provides work spaces globally.
Pay Wen is attending the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) course to further expand her knowledge in the financial and capital markets sector. In terms of culture and professional, Pay Wen has wide exposure to different sides of the world.
