Zhi Qian specialises in litigation, focusing on disputes related to commercial matters, shareholder conflicts, contractual breaches, defamation, construction, and conspiracy claims. He provides pre-litigation advice and represents clients in Malaysian courts, as well as in arbitration and adjudication proceedings.
Notable cases in which Zhi Qian has been involved include a RM30 million shareholder dispute, a RM20 million construction dispute and arbitration proceedings involving claims amounting to approximately RM9 million.
A graduate of the University of Malaya, Zhi Qian consistently earned Dean’s List honours throughout his studies, graduating with distinction, which is equivalent to First Class Honours. His outstanding academic performance was further recognised when he received the Dato’ Rajasooria Book Prize, awarded to the top all-rounded student in his graduating class.
